for these days I will be grateful....

"for my birthday we're going to da riber!"
anything for you Georgie...
We spent this Saturday at the river playing and celebrating the life of this little guy.
This was his actual birthday and the river we took him!
We drove four wheelers, got super dirty, ate lots of sand and sunk a Polaris.

Literally.

We made George a "cake", at first he was a little confused but then jumped right in as we started singing "Happy Birthday" to him!
Birthdays have always been a pretty HUGE thing in my family so I stopped at the dollar store to purchase a lighter just so we could do this!

Priceless!
can't get much cuter.

a wish was made!

on our way home, he was EXHAUSTED! He and Graham had their own bag of Cheetos ("anything GOES") and George managed to still get them in his mouth while his eyes were shut... maybe sleep eating? That "riber" is super fun and super draining at the same time.

The next picture I'll comment very little on, basically we were trying to shoot a Ford commercial... and get a Polaris unstuck.
I was laughing so hard, I thought I was gonna pass out. Seth just made the call, went and got his super nice, super fancy truck and made it down the hill and onto the sand like a champ.
I'm pretty sure Adam would NOT have done this. He thought (via phone) we were CRAZY!
BUT, it was successful! And made for some more memories out here. ..

Next up, Dannielle and Emrie came to play while Seth was out. It made for a perfect evening since both Daddy's were busy. THEY PLAY SO GOOD TOGETHER! They are constantly laughing at each other! Emrie is so sassy. She keeps Graham in line when he is mean to her and Graham just craves her laughter and dies laughing when he makes her laugh!
We played for a little while and I made us some dinner and when it was time for Grahams bath Emrie wanted one too. So. .. Since I had my camera out I had to take these. I got a lot but this one had Dannielle and I laughing in the bathroom floor forever!

I had to share with y'all....

My little menus with all his teeth showing!

Revenge is sweet. Look at her, her cup full of water. Graham knows it's coming. Haha. Kids are FriCken hilarious!

My little baby was worn smooooooooooth out! Crashed with his car in his hand.
One of the best parts of the day is carrying this little guy to his bed at night. He just squeezes my neck and loves me and I lay him down and he turns right over and grins at me and goes to bed.
I just stare at him amazed and thank God for bringing him to us!
He is, by far, the best thing that has every happened to Adam and I.
This night, when I picked him up his car came with us and slept in Graham's bed with him.
He loves anything with wheels! Anything!

We had a good weekend. Very real. And relaxing. And fun.
Sometimes you just have to "bring it home".
On Friday, we all played at the park with Honey. The girls came over and we drove the ranger to the park. It was a beautiful morning and one last chance to soak Mom up before she left.

I'll close with this...

As we were leaving, I took this picture of what it looks like now that we have cleared some brush where the house is going. It's gonna look goooooooood from the river bottom...

Life is meant to be shared!
Just be sure you share it wisely.

MY FIRST UNBORN BABY IS TURNING 3! Sniff. SNiff!

It's so hard to believe this light of lives is already turning THREE! Where has the time gone, SERIOUSLY! Believe what people tell you, it goes far to fast!

She "helped" me make these cards and she is very proud of them! Getting pictures of this three year old was a pill! BUT, one worth swallowing!

Couldn't of said it better myself...

in our new house, I'm gonna recreate this and put it up in his room!!!

I've never done any of it except maybe the "song 50 times in a row"... man! I sure LOVE that boy!!!

We have a baby calf! Graham's favorite time of the year, I'm guessin.

Last weekend, Adam was off and we went out to check the cows! Graham goes CRAZY at the thought or sight of cows and horses! He "moo's" and points and acts so excited and Adam and I just love to watch him.

It took us forever to find them this time, we drove around forever and I laugh because I feel like Graham spys them before either of us. He really does. He knows exaclty what we are looking for and totally points in the right direction everytime.

Here is when he see's them for the first time, sorry for being a little out of focus, still adorable.

We spotted this little MOmma all to herself and immediately thought, !!!! she had a baby !!?!?! ... she did!!! First one! I think we should keep her, Adam will probably say no, Graham was SOOO excited. Adam took him in for a closer look!!!
Note: Adam's attire is hideous, excuse him, please.

Can you see her baby??? Right in the creek.. to the right of Adam's shorts. She hid her from the sun, she must be super "fresh".

The GANGS ALL HERE, well minus one, she's being a good Momma and taking care of her baby!!! Graham and Adam peeking up over the herd, haha... this picture makes me laugh!

On our way back, I turned into a old lady and thought the sky was pretty!! Picture to prove it. Surely this means something...

I don't think you are beautiful....I think your beyond it!

I decided I'm ashamed of myself. I haven't been taking near the pictures I used to of Graham. The first year of his life, once a month I would print out what we had done, I had like a set day I would go to the computer and load to walmart.com all his recent pictures.

Ummm, it's been about 6 months since I've done that.

So, today. It was just he and I. Highly unusual. Because, as much as Adam works we are CONSTANTLY keeping ourselves busy. It's really the only way to make this thing work.

As the summer has progressed so has Graham's love with all things water!
He loves:
pools
sprinklers
the river
his baths
the sink
the lever of the front of the fridge!
(that's fun!)
showers even now too...

I dusted off the camera and took some of my sweet baby playing with his toys.
He is quite the dare devil. Kylee told me the other day "Ashley, I think Graham thinks he's super man!"
Ya. Me too!

Also, I thought this was a cute picture. Graham practicing.
For those of you who don't know, Graham and I have been becoming familiar with the potty and the whole idea of being potty trained.
Most of the time, we just sit. We read a book. Sing. Just anything to get acquainted with the idea of sitting on the potty.
AND HE PEED!!!
 Once.
And maybe, just maybe it was a fluke but we are gonna keep at it!
Go Graham!

sorry Andra... updating for you!

Easter was spent a little different this year. We stayed in Wichita Falls and while it was very fun and I enjoyed very much spending it with my family, it was very sad we all weren't together at Nonna's.
Easter was HER THING! She made it very special.
We. ALL. Miss. HER. Dearly!
We made sure Graham hunted lots of eggs. First, we started at Colonial and watched eggs drop from the sky out of a helicopter! Graham was lovin' it! Seriously, his big thing is point and "talking", well saying "guah"...
He did a lot of that during this...
There were TONS of people there. TONS!

Graham's hair is getting so long! I'm not cutting it. Get over it. It's entirely too pretty to cut just yet.
Plus he rocks the little curls that are starting in the back.

Mary Grace wasn't too sure about it and really, sorta liked the view from on top of Granddaddys shoulders.

Mema surprised the kids with "soft Easter baskets". She was sure they would love them and she had put some special things inside that kept Graham entertained calm while we were awaiting the helicopter.

Here they come!

It was a little bit emotional watching all the kids eww and ahhh while staring up at the sky.
Finally, the ropes were dropped and it was time to "hunt" some eggs.

Graham is already a baby genius!
He totally grasped the concept of all this and immediately starting filling his basket.
GO Graham! You made Momma and Daddy proud.

Sister love.

...and so it happens...

It's weird, ya know. You have this idea in your head of what your life is gonna look like when you grow up.... well I never expected all this. All this. This new year, 2011, has brought on a whole new slew of emotions, opportunities, dreams that are reachable and contentness-----is that a word?!?! Ya, I don't think so either but it's a real feeling...to me. to Adam. and to Graham, I'm sure of it.
I keep thinking that if I don't thank the Lord at every chance I get something is going to be taken away from me.

For starters Graham just turned one. Unbelievable. I know, I know. Everyone tells you or us that "they grow up so fast" and your like ya, at the time, when your getting up 3 or 4 times a night you just wanna say.."whatever!" But of course, they're right. Our sweet baby is ONE!!?!?!?!  I can NOT even begin to describe what he has brought to me and Adam's life. I mean, yes. It's completely different now. We don't spend near the time together we once did, I was scared.. I remember crying and throwing myself a pitty party a couple days before we were about to go in and have Graham, I made Adam promise me we would always make time for each other and I was terrified that what we had would be interrupted by something I wasn't sure if I was ready for or not. It's all worked out just fine. In fact, more than fine!

We started the morning walking in to his room with the video camera and singing "Happy Birthday to Graham!" He was pumped! Then we made cinimon rolls and sang to him....

  Yummy!

Then we got dressed like a pirate and showed up to a Buccaneer Bash just for him!

Cute little man!

His fab-tastic cake! Not only is it amazing, it tasted SCRUMPTIOUS!
Graham's personal "dig-in" cake!

Treasure for the kiddo's on their way out!
 the birthday boy's spot!

Kyra!!! IS he scary!?!?

SUPER GRAHAM!

 Happy Birthday to me AGAIN!!!!!!

D-lish!

THE boat, My dad made it and I painted it.. it was a hit! Graham plays in it ALL the time!
Adam stood up to thank everyone and Graham (so fitting) started clapping as a thank you, it was so cute!

Then we went home, took off our pirate gear and got dressed to go eat!

Okay, Happy Birthday to me,..... one last time!!!!!
We love you baby Graham!
